We can supply prospective families with references from some teens who enjoyed our trips in 2006 & 2007.  For obvious reasons we cannot post their email on the internet.  Please email trevor@camplaces.com to request our reference email list.  Also see our reference page to see some quotes from past campers.

Yes, we actually prefer it and it is the quickest way to secure your spot on one of our trips.  Click here to book online.

Flights vary by trip that you choose:

These are camping trips.  Although we do also stay in a hotel and some cabins. Our trips DO NOT have very rustic camping.  Our camp grounds have showers (except Yosemite), flushing toilets and don't require packing equipment in.  So we would describe it as very comfortable camping.

Trevor and Amy Doyle, the owners of Camp High Places, feel blessed to have such exceptional staff.  Hilary Ebert has been with us for 3 years and is a college student from Wisconson.  Also her best friend Taylor Addington, and just as talented, has been with us for 2 years.  Our staff are all over 21 and have demostrated extensive skills with teens.  Find out more about them and the owners on our about us page.

Yes we have a printed brochure we will happily mail to you.  However brochures are 5 pages whereas our website is 30+ so you can get our most up to date information by looking at our website .  Please email a request to brochure@camphighplaces.com to be mailed.

Alot less than comparitive programs:
Aproximatly $177 per day.  The 20 day trip costs $3540 and the 10 day trip $1899.

No, camper's families are responsible for arranging flights for their teen.  We can arrange you flight for a $100 fee and the cost of the flight.

Yes, and we will give you both a $150 per person discount or $250 for per person discount for two friends or more!

Too many to count.  On our memories page you can see links to our past trips from 2007 and 2006 which include pictures.  These journal were kept with teh campers help while where we were traveling. See our 2007 trips at California Adventure Session 2, 2007 or California Adventure Session 4, 2007 (Note: These links take you off our site)

Between 10 and 15 others teens will be on your trip.  Also we will have 3-5 adults and many other adults at all of the activity locations.

We accept cash, check or credit cards.  However we prefer checks or cash since the credit card companies charge such high fees.  By paying with check you are helping us keep our tuition down.

Yes, bookings paid in full before Feb 28th, 2009 will recieve an $100 to $200 (depends on trip) discount if requested.

Yes, every year we offer deserving teens scholarships to ensure a diverse group can ejoy our adventures.  Please email our director trevor@camphighplaces.com to get information about them.

Yes, we try to meet all campers at the gate when they depart the plane.  However sometimes heightened airport security makes it impossible.  In that case we will meet the camper when they arrive in baggage claim. If you are concerned about being able to find our counselor you should book as an "Unaccompanied minor" which will ensure you can only be turned over to our staff.  Airports are incredibly save with alot of security and airline employees very willing to help.

We will meet in the airport of the trip's departure (even camper's who don't fly in) in a prearranged easy-to-find spot.
The exact meeting location in the airport will be sent to you after you book your trip.  We will also meet campers who fly in.

1 soft duffel bag, 1 sleeping bag and pillow.  You really need to pack light because space is limited and we do laundry half way through the trip.  You can also see our packing list on our camp forms page

Good Grades (3.5) = $100 discount or on trip spending money
Come with 2 or more friends = $200 off each person's tuition (10 day trip).
Pay by check = 4% discount.
                    = Booked and paid by 4/30/08 is $100 - $200.
Discounts can only be given if they are requested on the registration form in the "coment section".  Please do not ask for discounts afterwards.

This is a personal preference.  You know yourself better than us.  However we advise about $100 for a two week trip.  Some people have spent as little as $20 on the trip while others have spent $600.  You don't actually need to use your money for anything.  Also money can be kept safe in our lock box to be given as needed. Another great option is a prepaid visa card.  We have found the Upside visa to work well: click here

Yes, you can arrive the day before a trip for an additional $100 fee.  many people like to do this if they are flying internationally to have a day to recover.  You can also stay 1 day over a trip for the same fee.

Trevor and Amy Doyle, The owners, are parents themself and fully undersatnd the need to be safe concious with teens at all times.  They both have extensive experience running safe, fun and adventurous trips. Activities are as safe as they possibly can be.  Of course there is inherit risk in may high adventure activities however we will only use vendors who have a proven safety record, are fully insured and demostrate a caring and safe attitude around our kids.

On the West Coast Tour and The California Adventure campers are transported in a Chevy Suburban and a 12 passenger van with only 10 people max (proven to be safer).  On the Hollywood and San Francisco campers are transported in acombination of limos, taxi's, shuttles and one flight.  All of our vehicles are safety checked, fully insuranced and our staff drive with the care you would expect us to have with your children.

It's important to us that everyone who wishes, has an opportunity to experience our trips. For this reason we have set up our Cancellation Policy as follows:
(So no-one will be left out!)
>  Cancellation 60 days prior to June 15th, 2008 will receive a full refund less an           administrative charge of $40.
>  60-30 days prior to 6/15, will receive 50% refund. (100% if the spot is filled).
>  30 days of less prior to 6/15, no refund unless the spot is filled then 100%

Yes, every year we offer deserving teens scholarships to ensure a diverse group can ejoy our adventures.  Please email our director trevor@camphighplaces.com to get information about them.

In 2007 Camp High Places tried a new trip called Hollywood and The OC.  It was enjoyed tremendously by all who attended. However we have strived to have a camp that introduced people to the natural wonders of California so we discontinued the Hollywood trip that focused more on city adventures. You might enjoy the California Adventure Tour instead.

If you book before June 10th with a $500 deposit and follow the rules we will book your flight to a $300 value:
1.  The discount must be requested at the time of booking by writing "please book my flight" in the comment box in the online registration .  To keep it fair we CANNOT offer this deal after booking if this rule is not followed.
2.  All tuition and deposits must be paid by cash or check, no credit cards.
3.  Balance must be paid by June 15th, 2008.
4.  If you book with this offer and cancel, besides our typical cancellation policy, the amount of your flight will be deducted from any refunds due.
5.  This offer is only open May 15th to June 10th:  Book Now.

"I loved my trip to California! Merci from France!

"Thanks! this trip was really cool.  I had  a great time"
"I really enjoyed going the CHP. See you next year."

Yes, you can make $1000 if you like.  Simply refer a teen to our camp and when the book a trip and attend we will pay you $100 cash.  Refer 5 teens and get $500 cash, refer 10 and get $1000 cash. Imagine if you referred 50 every year? you could pay for college!  Here are the rules:
1.  You cannot get the credit for "referring" yourself.
2.  You can only get credit if the teen writes your name in "referral details"
on the online registration.  If they do not do this we cannot give credit.
3.  Monies will be paid to you after they have come on their trip, or the beginning of it if they are on the same trip as you.
4.  This offer is available to anyone who wants to make money, they need not be a camper of their family.
5.  Your referred teen must pay by cash or check, no credit cards.
6.  If you are a camper you must also pay by cash or check for all payments you have left. (we like credit cards but they charge high fees!)
